Math 53

... sucks. Big time. As expected. I don't know. I pretty much understand the lessons so far... but I'm pretty sure I'll get a low grade in that very first exam. What's new right? Math was never my forte, anyway. Life goes on.

SMS of the Week

"g0od morning! this is kim fr0m sigma delta phi. i g0t ur number frm one of ur professors. i wud lyk to invite u to be a member of r s0r0rity and take part in our Leadership TRaining pr0gram. i wud very much lyk to mt u to entertain any questi0ns and to invite u to r party that is g0ing to b held at d barn. thanks"

*The girl also called me up and left a voice message in my mailbox. Anyway, I wasn't really interested - I was too busy to even consider it. Now, I wonder - who the hell was that professor who just gave out my number that easily?!

* * *

I am so, so happy about this four-day weekend... though I plan to devote the whole time to my Math homework. Yeah right. As if.

Somebody's avoiding me. Hell, if he's gonna do that... well, two can play that game, buddy!

Am off to the dorm tomorrow... Sigh. A new week. Wonder what's in store for moi?

Sorry, if I can't find something interesting to blog about... I think my mind has been too cluttered with Math and all other stuff lately. Hmph.

It's Roddick vs Agassi in the Houston finals. May the cute one win. Ha!

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD, EVERYONE!

And so SARS finally decided to drop by our dear country... Shit. That's just really freaky when you think about it.

I got this from Steph's and Lunacy's blogs.

I am usually Anti-Avril but...

Are you aware of what you make me feel, baby
Right now I feel invisible to you, like I'm not real

Didn't you feel me lock my arms around you
Why'd you turn away?
Here's what I have to say I was left to cry there,
waiting outside there grinning with a lost stare
That's when I decided

Why should I care
Cuz you weren't there when I was scared I was so alone

You, you need to listen I'm starting to trip,
I'm losing my grip and I'm in this thing alone

And the Dorm Saga begins...

Yes... I've been staying at the dorm since Wednesday and yeah... it is a change indeed. Man, I miss blogging.

The Place

It's okay. I guess. I mean, there are rules and all - but yeah, they're bendable or even breakable. It's not a huge house, nor is it crowded, either... My only complaint right now is the lack of space in the refrigerator. Hmph. And yeah, sometimes, people hog the bathroom and the phone. Girls will be girls, indeed. The spooky stuff? Mariel has been telling me ghost stories... Baaad.

The People

Hmmm, it is just summer so there are only a number of dormers around. Most of them are nice enough. I mean, I surely didn't expect them to throw a welcome party for me. Hello? But Mariel has introduced me to some of them and yeah, they were pretty friendly.

The Room

...is small, but livable. Clean and well-ventilated.

The Roommate

Okay, okay. This one's pretty interesting... I only got to meet my roommate yesterday! She hasn't been around during the first day and didn't even sleep over the first night I was there. Jeez, by that time, I've been picturing weird scenarios in my head. Remember when Felicity met Megan? I kind of expected something like that... But I got to meet her and she seemed okay. Not the kind of girl I'd easily become the best of friends with, but I think we'd get along. Now I suddenly remember that email forward I got from someone entitled: Ways on How to Freak Out Your Roommate. That was funny at the first read, but now that I think about it... I guess, it is kind of freaky.

Well, so... there's the run-through. Okay, maybe it's not that detailed but I guess, I don't feel like blogging about it that much. I don't know why...

* * *

Oh Real Madrid won over Manchester United 6-5 on aggregate to reach the UEFA Champions League semi-finals... and I missed the second match. Hell. It was a great one, from what I've heard from Joy. Arrrgh. There surely must be some replays, right? Please...

And yeah, I haven't checked - but I do hope Andy's still in the Houston Tourney. I hope. I really, really hope.

* * *

Math 53

...is okay... for now, that is. Well, sure, the lessons are fast-paced and yeah, mornings are kinda down and sleepy-ish. But I do understand most of the lessons. The prof seems okay - I won't be able to confirm this until we take out exams. I sure hope he gives away lots of partial points... and I sure wish he isn't a terror professor. Does the name Eduardo Chan ring a bell? Is he okay or what? Sigh.

The homework load... is hell. I really badly need to study everyday. God. I will really, really, really regret it if I flunk the class this summer... It'll be such a waste of time and not to mention, a waste of money. Plus, I don't want to take the damn class again! So help me God.

*This entry seems weird now that I read through it. I don't think I made much sense. Oh well.

Holy shit...

Just surfed by Peyups... Shit, that article came out! Oh man. I didn't know what I was thinking when I wrote and submitted that! Uh-oh. Let's hope nobody that I really, really know would read that. But I highly doubt it. There goes the bitchy I-don't-need-guys reputation down the drain...

And so I'm off...

I am sooo tired. I was running around UP for practically the whole morning to finally finish my summer registration. Sigh. I don't even want to talk about it. The only lousy part was the Math enlistment, really. I didn't get the class or even the time (10:15AM-1:30PM, that is) I wanted (even after going through hell)... I got a 7:00-10:15AM class instead. Blech. The other parts of the registration were practically a breeze... well, almost.

God. I have to wake up uber-early the whole summer. Ew. I'll be staying in the dorm anyway, so... that should be bearable. I just think that the other option, a 1:30-4:45PM class wouldn't suit me well. It'll be so hot and I usually feel sleepy in the afternoons.

Anyway, I still have to pack up and get ready for tomorrow... So, this'll be short (and sweet? Nah...) I'll be staying at the dorm till Friday and God knows if I'll ever get online so I'll probably be back blogging here on weekends. Sigh. I am still a bit unsure about the whole dorm life... so... wish me luck.

Oh and I just got to say that... the UP registration system sucks. I don't know what the hell they're doing. It needs a lot of improvement.

Oh (again), on a brighter side, Andy won his first round match in Houston, 6-3 6-1. I hope he keeps on winning... or else.

They say that blogging is addictive - yes, it can be very addictive at times. But right now... I don't know. I don't feel like blogging so much these days. Maybe because I don't have much stuff happening on my life... or maybe, I'm going through another down phase. I don't really know.

* * *

Summer Reg Day...

...was hell. As expected. Fell into long lines to get classcards and to get advised... then it turns out that it's a Tri-Coll prioritization* day and I couldn't get enlisted till tomorrow. Shit. And I thought it would be done in one whole day. Arrrgh.

High points:
- Laugh trip with my friends while we were all waiting in line and when we had lunch at Shakey's.
- Seeng him. Though I don't like him that much anymore. Crap.

Low points:
- The damn lines and the really hot and humid weather.
- Tri-Coll prioritization bullshit. (Okay, that was mean but hey... I'm upset. No offense on the Tri-Coll people but on the system.)
- I lied to my dad repeatedly just to get away with some stuff and I made him wait up for me for no good reason at all. That felt really, really bad. I still feel bad till now. I hate it.

*Students from the 3 main colleges in campus (College of Arts and Letters, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, and College of Science) were prioritized for the enlistment.

Juan Carlos Ferrero won that match against Guillermo Coria. Twas a good win. Wish my dear Andy luck in his upcoming tourney in Houston! He must defend his title!

Happy Easter Everyone!

* * *

Let me talk about Tennis

It's Juan Carlos Ferrero of Spain vs Guillermo Canas of Argentina for the TMS Monte Carlo final. Should be a really interesting match. I like both players, so I wouldn't really know whom I'll be rooting for. Sigh. If only Andy Roddick made it that far. I just hope he makes a good run and defends his title in Houston. That tournament loves him, and vice versa. Due to Andy's immediate exit, I discovered a new young player: Rafael Nadal, Spanish, 16-years-old. Not as cute as young Frenchman Richard Gasquet, but just as talented. Sigh. I just love watching tennis. No, it's not just about cute guys - but I love the game as well.

* * *

Tomorrow is a new day

I'll be getting the rest of my classcards and will be enrolling for summer classes. Yes. Summer is practically over for me. That fast. That soon. Let's just hope I make the most out of it.

Because I'll be staying in a dorm and will be busy with classes, I may not be able to blog as often as I'd like. Argh. That's not the only frustrating thing. I wouldn't be able to watch as much tennis and soccer matches. Jeez, I might even miss seeing the return leg of the Manchester United-Real Madrid clash live! Hmph.

Summer vacation? What summer vacation?

Hmph. I've barely got four days left of summer vacation. Time flies sooo fast. Too fast. I'll be in UP on Monday for Summer Registration and to get my remaining classcards. Summer classes start on Wednesday, April 23. I am sooo not in the mood to study. But I must sacrifice and work hard to be able to live through the next years of my academic life.

My skin's doing fine. But I have to go back to my dermatologist again tomorrow to continue the so-called treatment. Argh. An appropriate form of mourning for Black Saturday.

* * *

Meteor Garden...

Yeah, yeah... most of you must've seen the teaser on ABS-CBN. The F4-slash-Meteor Garden craze is bound to hit the Philippines soon. The anime-ish drama-slash-show-slash-whatever from Taiwan based on a popular Japanese comic book launched the career of Asia's most popular (and some say, most "un-talented"?) boyband, F4. Well, they are famous all-throughout Asia - except in our oh-so-exclusive country. Is that such a loss? Hmmm, we're bound to find out.

I admit that the show intrigued me the first time I heard about it early last year. Chinese-speaking countries (Taiwan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, etc...) all got caught up in the hype in 2001 and then Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Thailand followed in suit in early 2002. I got even more interested when F4 won the so-called Inspiration Award at the 2003 MTV Asia Awards. (Okay, not that the Asia Awards is always a reliable judge of talent or character... but you know what I mean.) At first glance, the boyband looked all-good-looks, lotsa luck and a bit of talent... Maybe that's true, since all I hear is that only Vanness Wu out of the four of them can really carry a tune. So, the whole craze must've been based on superficiality?

But then again, a look at the show's plot and storyline - I suppose, it is worth taking a look. It's like an anime that has come to life - minus the super powers, that is. Simply put, Meteor Garden's about a girl from a middle-class family sent by her parents to an exclusive, prestigious academy in hope that she'll find an uber-rich guy to marry her and get them off poverty. She then encountered four of the richest and hunkiest bullies in school called the Flower Four (Wtf?!) and stood up to them. Her strong personality then attracted two of the bullies and so all the drama starts. Does that plot even sound logical and realistic? Hmmm... maybe not.

But the only way to find out why this show is such a hit in Asia (even over Western shows) is to watch it - even though it'll be dubbed in Filipino. I'm just curious if it will also be a hit in our country - or if the Mexican telenovelas and American teen shows will still prevail. Know what, I am frankly quite relieved that Asians find appreciation for their own talents (even though... well, some say these Pop Phenoms are really crap) - not just Westerners. There is hope for Asian entertainers, after all.

For all the women out there... May this boost your morale.

Phenomenal Woman
by Maya Angelou

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care.
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Insomnia sucks

Yes, indeed it does. The past week I've been sleeping in the wee hours of the morning... around 2AM-4AM. I tried my luck last night and went to just before midnight. Well, no such luck. I've been tossing and turning in bed, I've been draining my cellphone battery trying to beat the top score in the games, I've been humming slow and lonely tunes in my head... Nothing worked. I hate it.

Last week my blocmates and classmates from college had been texting me everytime they can't fall asleep.
"Hey, you still up? Can't fall asleep. Stupid plates made this a habit."
"Di ka rin makatulog noh?!"
"Lintek. Di pa ko antukin! Kaw?"
Etc, etc. It seems like the curse of our course. Sigh. I haven't even drank a single drop of coffee this month. Insomnia... go away, will yah?

* * *

Three

Another proof of my stupidity: I barely passed Math 14. Shit. Shit. Shit. Damn. Damn. Damn. You guessed it. I got a final grade of 3. Three. Tres. Sure, I had a really hard time with Math this sem (just like the previous one), but I had thought I'd get a 2-point-something at least. I know it's better than failing or taking removals but hey... I am supposed to be smart or something (minus the conceit and arrogance), or so they say. What is happening to me? I hate it. I hate it. I hate it.

Did Jesus die in vain?

Well, it is Holy Week, after all... so I thought I'd post something about it. You see, I'm no Miss Catholic and I don't have super faith - sure, growing up in a Catholic family (though practically non-practicing) and having studied in an all-girls' Catholic school, I do practice bits of the religion. It was my grandmother, who's now in Canada, who instilled all the Christian values and rituals in my life, not my parents. My parents are practically non-practicing Catholics, as I've said. Yes, I go to mass every Sunday with my siblings (now that my grandparents are abroad) and yes, I do pray before meals. But that's just it. Back in grade school and high school, we pray the rosary at school almost every day, we read the Gospel every morning, we pray whenever each class starts and ends, we have vigils and adoration sessions. Now, that I'm studying at an open university (and free of the whole religious dictatorship crap - some might say), I hardly ever do anything religious. I haven't prayed the rosary in months, I sometimes stumble for words when I'm praying the Lord's Prayer in my head, I haven't even gone to confession in a year! I might sound a bit paranoid about these things, but sometimes I think even though I am still very doubtful and careless about my faith - sometimes, I think that it really matters a lot to me.

Am I even making any sense? I know a lot of skeptics and non-practicing people out there and I don't blame them. Sometimes, I see the Church - the system, that is - rigid, pointless and hypocritical. But then, it all boils down to something more complex - one's faith in God (or one's faith that there is a God). Some may argue that their faith is their personal business and they can do whatever they want, some may say that the only way to salvation would be to follow the Church's rules. It's all too complicated that I don't want to delve into it. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, after all. But sometimes, when I think about it - I don't want to praise and follow God and do good things just for the sake of eternal reward and salvation or to merely follow all the rules the Church imposes on people. I want to think that I am inclined to do good things because I want to and because it is within me to do so.

Anyway, this is getting waaay too intense and personal now, regarding the question above: Did Jesus die in vain?... I watched that Jesus movie on ABC 5 last Monday and Tuesday night, with Jeremy Sisto (of Clueless and Hideaway) playing Jesus and Debra Messing (of Will and Grace) as Mary Magdalene. It was unlike most Jesus-movies because they didn't portray Jesus as the all-throughout gentle, patient and soft-spoken person. In that movie, there were times that he lost his patience and spoke quite roughly - and the dialogue reflected this too. It seemed weird but I suppose the producers wanted to portray Jesus as a real person - he may be good and holy - but he was still a person. Anyway again, there was that scene in the Garden of Gethsemane - when he was praying to his Father and all that with his disciples sleeping and Judas preparing to turn him in - that the Devil came out and tempted him one last time. The Devil told him to disobey his Father and start a revolution against Rome to save the people, instead of doing his Father's will and die. Because he would die in vain - because there would be crusades in his name wherein people are going to be killed, witch burnings in his name where the innocents are sentenced to die, wars just because of him. All these things were showed to him like a flash to the future. Anyway, we know that he still chose to die but what struck me was that question and a statement he made: That God gave His people the choice to do good or evil.

So what was the point of that long entry? I don't know. Maybe I just felt like rambling... or maybe all of us should try and ask that question again: Did Jesus die in vain?

I love Moonstar 88.

Ang Pag-Ibig Kong Ito

Umiiyak ang aking pusong nagdurusa
Ngunit ayokong may makakita
Kahit anong sakit ang aking naranasan
'Yan ay ayokong kanyang malaman

Mga araw na nagdaan,
kailanma'y hindi malilimutan
Kay tamis na raw ng pagmamahalan
Ang akala ko'y walang hangganan

Ang pag-ibig kong ito
Luha ang tanging nakamit buhat sa'yo
Kaya't sa Maykapal
Tuwina'y dalangin ko
Sana'y...
Kapalaran ko ay magbago
Kapalaran ko ay magbago

It's not that I can relate to the song... I just like it.

Classcards, summer classes, hell...

Hmmm... I plan to go to UP tomorrow and check if I can already get at least some of my classcards. It would be such a hassle to run around the campus on Monday to get all my classcards coz I plan to dedicate the whole morning - and knowing UP, possibly the whole day - for summer registration. I think a 10AM-1PM Math 53 class wouldn't be so bad... Sure, it'll be so hot but hey, I don't feel like waking up early for a 7AM-10AM class and I think a 1PM-4PM class is a bit late and I think I'd fall asleep at that time. Sigh. I am sooo not excited to take summer classes but I definitely want to lighten my load for next sem.

Mini-break

I may refrain from blogging for a couple of days or so... Just for the heck of it.

* * *

Some rantings...

Hey, this is my blog and I can write whatever I want, right? Anyway, here are just some of the things that has been annoying me lately:

- Kristine Hermosa... by just being her quirky, perky, pa-cute self.
- the very warm and humid weather
- dry skin of my face due to the crappy medication by the dermatologist
- the whole Bernadette-Melody rivalry...
- lack of Gilmore Girls TV coverage
- my boring summer
- boys, guys, men
- lack of Andy Roddick action
- the stupid war
- damn CRS concealing the profs and incessantly postponing the enlistment!

There. I'm done rambling.

It's been too long and I'm lost without you...

That Aaliyah song had been running through my head for the past few days. I've seen the video lotsa times where all her artist friends lipsynched to her track, I Miss You. It makes you wonder if she was really such a good person, such an angel to have all those people do that in her honor. I mean, sure B.I.G. had his wife and Puff Daddy dedicate a song for him and most other celebrities who tragically or suddenly died have got friends did something similar for them, too. It really makes you think. Do people ever really notice your worth only when you're gone? Do people only appreciate you as friend when you're already dead? Do people just realize all your good qualities once you've left them? It's just sooo sad.

Sometimes I wonder if it's just a form of moving on, you know. Moving on, in the part of the ones left behind. Like they try to appease their grief and make better of the situation. I don't know. That's such a sad thought, too. It makes me wonder... if I just suddenly die, will people, my friends and family care? I mean, yeah sure... duh, they probably will. But you know, delving into narcissism and all that self-centered crap, what will they do? What will they think of me? What will they remember of me? Because sometimes I wonder - quite pathetically, I tell you - what good am I to other people's lives? Have I ever done something even minutely significant in their lives that they can be grateful of? Or am I just that person they once knew? A so-called friend or sister or daughter... Nothing more. Okay, it's not that I'm asking for more than that, but what will they remember of me as a person, a human being, an individual? Oh hell. I'm overanalyzing just because of that song. But seriously. The whole deal, not just the song, makes me think. Is this a sign of depression or a low self-esteem? Maybe. Maybe not.

Maybe I've been watching too much Dawson's Creek, Felicity and Once and Again re-runs. That's what a boring summer does to a person. I am sooo borrrred.

A Visit to the Dermatologist, otherwise known as the Masochist Clinic

And so I went for a visit to my dermatologist this afternoon. My last visit there was October last year, and when she saw me, she wasn't very happy about it. I wasn't really sure why it took that long for me to go back, perhaps it was because of my busy schoolyear. But when she began yet another so-called treatment - I then remembered it well. It took all my self-control to not scream and curse her all-throughout the goddamn session. It hurt like hell. Now I know why I wasn't so keen on coming back. I don't know, maybe she was also pretty upset seeing that my acne has gone a bit worse because I've stopped going to treatment regularly and decided to teach me a lesson using pain. God, is that the price to pay for a clear skin? It hurt sooo much, I was calling my dermatologist a bitch, a monster, among other names in the my head during the whole process. I also felt like crying. The facial part was great, but I can't believe I've been paying thousands just for someone to poke and tinker with my face. Blech.

I love Robbie Williams

Yes, I do. The guy's just such a whacko but his music, his songs are great. I've always liked his songs. I don't know why. My favorites are:

Angels
No Regrets
She's the One
Let Love Be Your Energy
Eternity
Come Undone

You can go click on em and check the lyrics. Right now, I can just sooo relate to his song Strong.

And you know and you know
'Cos my life's a mess
And I'm trying to grow so before
I'm old I'll confess
You think that I'm strong you're wrong
You're wrong
I'll sing my song my song my song

Life's too short to be afraid
So take a pill to numb the pain
You don't have to take the blame...

Real Madrid defeats Manchester United 3-1

Woo-hoo! Real Madrid beats Manchester United 3-1 at the UEFA Champions League Qurterfinal - First Leg. I stayed up til 5AM yesterday morning to catch it live... and I also watched the replay that afternoon. I'm nuts, I know. My dear Raul scored twice! Twas a really great match. Too bad Man U got an away-goal. I'm crossing my fingers for the Second Leg at Old Trafford. Please let the Spaniards win.

I am bored... so this will be a long entry.

Almost Drunk and Absolutely Happy

Well, dinner last Monday night with a few college friends was absolutely wonderful. I badly needed some fun in my life after such a tiring and hellish semester. I don't think I got drunk - well, I downed a couple of drinks (plus a shot of tequila) - but I believe I went home sober enough. It sucked that I knew my folks were the ones who were going to pick me up and so I had to watch out on getting drunk. Twas fun, though. Really fun. I mean, only a number of us showed up but hey, everyone had a great time. It was also quite interesting to watch how people were getting drunk. Tee-hee.

The bitchy girl that I had blogged about a month ago was there, too. She was still very irritating but I guess I've learned to tolerate her and accept her existence. Hey, maybe we can even get along - for a little bit. Anyway, I just didn't like smelling like shit and cigarette smoke, though. A few of the guys couldn't help but smoke and it was okay as long as they didn't come near me. I absolutely hate the smell of cigarette smoke. Or any kind of smoke for that matter. Other than those two things - the night was great. Plus, my folks didn't notice how alcoholic I got.

Oh, and I did catch up with my sleepless weekend... I slept at 12:15AM then woke up at 1:00PM the following day. Nice.

To blog... or not to blog

I may go on hiatus every now and then - so don't expect daily updates on my blog. I think I need to catch on some sleep and live a bit in the real world. It's kinda overwhelming to think that I've only got a two-week long summer break. Man, I sooo need a longer time than that!

* * *

The Summer Agenda

- Get lots of sleep.... Lots and lots and lots of it!
- Hang-out with friends
- Re-read my all-time favorite books
- Watch all the movies I missed because of school (Believe me, I missed a lot of good ones!)
- (Hmmm... lemme think about it later...)

Darnit. It's just Day 4. I'm bored already.

Bad Morning

My head aches. My eyes hurt. My back is killing me. Shit. I've only slept a total of 1.5 hours since 7AM yesterday. Dammit. At least the crappy final plate is finished and I already submitted it this morning. I am such a crammer - it's a wonder if I'll ever survive my course. I need to have self-control and discipline. Whatever. This is no time to worry about that... I need sleep. Lots of it.

Jeez. I even missed the F1 Brazilian Grand Prix. Joy said it was just lotsa fun... full of bloopers and safety cars. Plus... my dear Kimi Raikkonen won (though narrowly). I wonder, when's the replay?

Yay. I'm finally on summer vacation. Thank God.

This is something I wrote over the weekend. I don't even know what got to me. But anyway, here yah go.

Some guys are easy...

Some guys are easy to get along with - just like there are human beings who are very likable. I mean, some guys you can talk to them about anything and absolutely anything under the sun. In short, some guys can be friends... or even, sort of like brothers. Some guys are easy to fall in love with - may it be the looks, the charm, or yeah, the personality. Yes, some guys can be lovers. If they can be your lover, that is. And more often than not... that's not the case. And so you try to move on with your life - even though deep inside you still have that itsy bitsy thing for him. Anyway. Some guys are easy to hate, loathe, abhor... For some guys can be absolute jerks and assholes. Just like some girls can be complete bitches. It can be their bulging ego or their perverse minds. Sure, some guys can be your enemies... or plainly, pains in the you-know-what.

But there are some guys... a few of them... who are not easy at all. Not easy to be anything in your life. They can't be your friend, because somewhere along the way, your stupid self just suddenly decides to fall in love with them. Or it could be vice-versa, you like him as a friend, but he wants you to be more than a friend. They can't be your lover - or your boyfriend - because your friends may already be going out with them. Or maybe because, you just don't like them... or maybe, sadly, they just don't like you and are already courting someone else. They can't be your enemy - because no matter how much you want to hate them - you still feel something for them... (or maybe, because plain and simple - they're your brothers).

So, what will they be in your life? Will they be anything at all? They should be something - because they are slowly taking control of your life and are taking up a huge space in your heart. They are something indeed... They're the special ones. The ones you can't have, you can't love, you can't hate... The ones who can't seem to find their purpose in your life - but are worthy of your time, effort and attention. They're the ones you think about at night before going to bed, the ones you daydream about during class, the ones you silently beg God to miraculously fall in love with you the following day. They're the ones you've prayed for all your life, the ones whom you believe was meant for you.

But then sadly, you realize, as you see them walk hand-in-hand with those girls with perfect smiles and perfect bodies, it seems like... you're not the one meant for them and that they can never really be a real part of your life.

You see, some guys aren't that easy, after all.

Time to Partaaay...

Even through all this exhaustion... I'm still planning to join the gang at Libis for dinner later tonight. Yes, I know... I'm a masochist. A stupid masochist.

Personality type

Well, according to this site this is my personality type: ISFP. I got the link from Johanna's blog. Seems interesting... What's your type?

Final Plate Update

I'm done with 12 out of 25 sheets. I am such a slowpoke... I am such a procrastinator... I am such a lazy-ass. My mind is already on vacation mode... But I sure am not...

* * *

I think somebody's playing with my heart and confusing my feelings... and I'm letting him. Damn him. Damn me. Damn that thing you call "love"... If it's really "love", that is...

New Layout

It's nothin' too fancy or anything - I'm no HTML goddess, after all. I'm just feelin' kinda blue these days... and that's an understatement.

Final exams are over and done with...

Yeah, I had to prevent myself from going online for a few days to work on my academics. But of course, I still got that dreadful Arch 20 Final Plate due on Monday. I am currently working on it and I'm not even halfway done. Darn, darn, darn. I'm talking about 25 A3-size sheets-worth of drawings and floor plans here. This is a crappy life.

Hunks of the Moment

I was really sad when Dave got voted off on Survivor. I mean, that guy was very hunky, presumably intelligent (being a rocket scientist and all) and obviously strong (how he climed that tree!). Ahhh... Dammit. At least, he got into the jury and yeah, I'm still going to see him every week... Sadly, with clothes on this time. Hmph. Haha. Now, I don't know whom I wanna win the whole thing... probably Jenna or Deena. I don't know.

Sizzling...

Another hunk of the moment would be... Colin Farrell. I never really knew what most people see in him before. He used to look really grungy and awful to me - until I got to watch him on David Letterman. Man, the guy is hottt. Okay, I know I'm sounding like some teeny-bopper now, but who cares? And I sooo love his Irish accent and his sense of humor. Irish accent is just sooo lovely to listen to. Now I know why I went through the whole shameful Ronan Keating (of Boyzone) and Nicky Byrne (of Westlife) phases during my early teen years. Anyway, Colin Farrel was just so, so, so funny. The whole interview was just absolutely hilarious! Sigh. You'd know what I mean if you got to watch it.

Yummy!

It is really, really, really hot nowadays. Hell. How am I going to survive summer classes?!

Nokia 3530

My new phone!

Yes. I got a new phone... I actually wanted some other model - yes, I am such a greedy, shallow bitch - but hey, I had to be contented with that one. It is actually a great model. I like the games. Jeez. I don't even know why I'm blogging about this.
