Is your birthday day 27 of the month?

Your Life
You are sensitive and vulnerable. Tears often run down your cheeks even when the matter is not that bad. This might be the result from being to pessimistic. You might seem cold on the shell, but your inner self is a kind loving person.
Your Love
You will be elegantly dressed, no matter how casually dressed your date may be. You are emanding in love and sometimes to an unacceptable extend.

Hmmm... made some sense, I guess. Except for the elegantly dressed part. Hello?!

I haven't blogged in a week and I just turned 18 yesterday!

Man, I miss my blog... Been really, and I mean really, busy with school, org stuff and other things. Sigh.

I'm 18... sure doesn't feel like anything changed. Just my age. Wonder what's in store for me this year? Anyway, I had a lot of fun last night with my mini-celebration-slash-birthday-dinner-thingy. Almost everyone I wanted to be there came and I just had a blast with all my friends.

Proof of my happiness? Errr... I'm still smiling right now.

I promise to blog more often... and yeah, Book 5 kicked ass but twas really saaad...

My Own Music Fest

Song Of the Moment:

Moonlight over Paris
Paolo Santos

You say you've been overseas
I say over where
You say just a holiday
My Alsatian heir
I say I've been working late, working overtime
Haven't seen the sun since sixty-nine

Does the moonlight shine on Paris
After the sun goes down
If the London bridge is falling
Will anybody hear a sound
If you follow the sunset will it ever end
Does the moonlight shine on Paris

Oh and how can you just walk away
Is it something that I said
I see only Black and White
You see Green and Red
You believe in the miracles, water into wine
I'll believe when it makes the New York Times

Does the moonlight shine on Paris
After the sun goes down
If the London bridge is falling
Will anybody hear a sound
If you follow the sunset will it ever end
Does the moonlight shine on Paris

Song For the Moment:

Not this Time
Cultured Pearls

I've been sitting on my bed
With a glass on my hand
Tryin' to figure out a way for me to understand
Through this talk we've just had
The questions I have asked somebody yesterday
About the sign that's in your eyes
About the biggest smile
All your face in the way
Questions I had asked somebody
How you feel only eyes reveal
Your answer's not for real
But I can't read your mind
Not this time

I just wanna know what you're going through
I don't feel wrong about asking you
But I can't read your mind
Not this time
I just wanna know what you're going through
I don't feel wrong about asking you
But I can't read your mind
Not this time

There are times when you don't wanna say
That there are problems in your head that you can't explain
I have been that way
Baby, there's a hunger, a kiss or two
But not forever do
If only I'd reach you
Maybe I'm a child
Maybe I'm a woman
Maybe, I am old
Maybe I said something
Reasons - to push me away
Maybe I have laughed
Maybe I have cried
But never did I try to put hurt on your side
I can't read your mind
Not this time...

Song Playing At This Very Moment:

Broken Vow
Lara Fabian

Tell me her name I want to know
The way she looks and where you go
I need to see her face
I need to understand
Why you and I came to an end
Tell me again I want to hear
Who broke my faith in all these years
Who lays with you at night
When I'm here all alone
Remembering when I was your own

I'll let you go I'll let you fly
Why do I keep on asking why
I'll let you go
Now that I found
A way to keep somehow
More than a broken vow

Tell me the words I never said
Show me the tears you never shed
Give me the touch
That one you promised to be mine
Or has it vanished for all time

I'll let you go I'll let you fly
Why do I keep on asking why
I'll let you go
Now that I found
A way to keep somehow
More than a broken vow

I close my eyes
And dream of you and I
And then I realize
There's more to life than only bitterness and lies

I close my eyes
I'd give away my soul
To hold you once again
And never let this promise end

I'll let you go I'll let you fly
Why do I keep on asking why
I'll let you go
Now that I found
A way to keep somehow
More than a broken vow...

Random Stuff

I miss my AA friends... I haven't seen them in a long time...

Anyway, Andy won the Stella Artois tourney and Real Madrid also won their game while Real Sociedad lost! Woo-hoo! Things are looking up.

Oh and regarding the NBA finals (can't believe I forgot to put it in the last post - I'm such a retard!)... I'm neutral this time, but since I like Kidd a lot... There you go...

Don't really have a lot to blog about... Org stuff and Acad stuff are summoning me now... Gotta go.

Sports... I've been missing a whole lot lately...

+ Watched the ABT Philippine leg finals this afternoon... Ugh. Cecilia Yap lost. Crap. She almost had it and she just self-destruct. Shalin won. Again. Will anyone beat her, please? I mean, I like her... but hey, somebody beat her please... I dunno what happened to Purvis (the adopted foreigner)... Did he win? Hope so.

+ La Liga... Well, the two Reals are in it down the wire. I sure hope Real Madrid wins the title this year... It'll be a sad birthday for Raul and I if they don't! And yeah, I do hope Becks will get to play in Real Madrid too. Never knew such a Dream Team could be possible!

+ Andy Roddick's into the final of the Stella Artois tourney - aka the Wimby tune-up event. He defeated Agassi for the first time 6-1, 6-7, 7-6 and served a record-tying, career-best 149 mph! He'll face Grosjean in the finals. Go Andy!!! But please... don't slump on the Wimby first round just like what you did in the French after winning in St. Polten? Please?

+ Williams are up front... Oh well. What happened to you Kimi?

Sigh. I miss watching ESPN.

Butterfly Kisses
Bob Carlisle

There's two things I know for sure.
She was sent here from heaven, and she's daddy's little girl.
As I drop to my knees by her bed at night, she talks to Jesus, and I close my eyes.
And I thank God for all the joy in my life,
Oh, but most of all, for...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin' little white flowers all up in her hair.
"Walk beside the pony, daddy, it's my first ride."
"I know the cake looks funny, daddy, but I sure tried."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve a hug every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
Sweet sixteen today,
She's looking like her momma a little more every day.
One part woman, the other part girl.
To perfume and makeup, from ribbons and curls.
Trying her wings out in a great big world.
But I remember...
Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayer.
Stickin' little white flowers all up in her hair.
"You know how much I love you, daddy, but if you don't mind,
I'm only going to kiss you on the cheek this time."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right.
To deserve her love every morning, and butterfly kisses at night.
All the precious time ... Like the wind, the years go by
Precious butterfly ... Spread your wings and fly
She'll change her name today.
She'll make a promise and I'll give her away.
Standing in the bride room just staring at her,
she asked me what I'm thinking, and I said "I'm not sure,
I just feel like I'm losing my baby girl." Then she leaned over... and gave me...
Butterfly kisses, with her mama there sticking little flowers all up in her hair
"Walk me down the aisle, daddy, it's just about time"
"Does my wedding gown look pretty, daddy?" "Daddy, don't cry."
Oh, with all that I've done wrong, I must have done something right
To deserve her love every morning, and butterfly kisses
I couldn't ask God for more. Man, this is what love is.
I know I've gotta let her go, but I'll always remember
every hug in the morning, and butterfly kisses...

HAPPY FATHERS' DAY TO ALL DADS OUT THERE!

Sweet Melancholy Mush Edition

Here's something I got through email a couple of months ago... Dunno who wrote it, but yeah... I don't know why I'm posting it, I guess I'm in the mood to go mushy. Ewww.

Questions...

If you see me walking the road with someone else
It's not because I like his company
It's because you're not brave enough to walk beside me.

If you hear me talking about him all the time
It's not because he pleases me
It's because you're too deaf to hear my heartbeat.

If you feel me falling with someone new
It's not because I love him
Because you're not there to catch me fall.

If you feel lost, I too am nowhere
I too don't know where the road is going
Are we gonna cross each other's path
Or just completely turn around?
Will we just let go of what we had
Or go to the place where love is bound

Don't let me walk with him
It's you I want to walk with
Don't let me talk of him
It's you I want to talk with
Don't let me fall for him
It's you I want to fall in love with

* * *

Yeah... I probably watch Meteor Garden because of the so-called "kilig-moments". Sure, the acting could be better, the dubbing just the same... and even though the show has reached the heights of the so-called "jologs" status, one couldn't help but smile when you hear the lines...

"Susundan kita hanggang impyerno..."
"Kailangan kitang protektahan..."
"Proprotektahan kita kahit ganito lang ako."
"Ba't ba hindi na lang ikaw ang minahal ko?"
"Gusto kita."

Cheesy? Corny? Stupid? I know. This is just sooo not me.

I have been astonished that men could die martyrs for their religion -
I have shudder'd at it.
I shudder no more.
I could be martyr'd for my religion
Love is my religion
And I could die for that.
I could die for you.
~ by John Keats ~

To be in love is merely to be
In a state of perpetual anesthesia:
To mistake an ordinary young man for a Greek god
Or an ordinary young woman for a goddess.
~ by H.L. Mencken ~

Seduce my mind and you can have my body,
Find my soul and I'm yours forever.
~ by Anonymous ~

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.
~ by Flavia Weedn ~

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself
But if your love and must needs have desires,
Let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook
That sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart
And give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love's ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer
For the beloved in your heart
And a song of praise upon your lips.
~ by Gibran Kahlil Gibran ~

No, no, no. I am not in love... Am just in the mood to love the idea of being in love... Plus, I had a romantic movie marathon the whole day by myself. Gawd. This is just sickening, I know! Yes, you can puke now.

It's only a matter of time...

Well. There you go, first week of school is over. I feel tired already - and I've only been attending 2 classes so far. Math and Physics... what a load, indeed. And so, I decided not to pursue a GE subject or even a PE class. I didn't feel like lining up for "Pre-rog" and yeah, I think I should concentrate on my majors and on the dreadful Math and Physics right now. I need to up my GWA... I've never been grade-conscious before, you know. I'm always happy if I just pass like any average student. That is, if I really love the class then I'll do my best to get the highest grade I can. Oh I don't know... I guess being surrounded by geniuses, I got insecured a bit. Man, I really need to work hard this sem...

* * *

The Much-Awaited Yearbook

Yes. I finally got my copy. Dropped by AA before going home from the dorm. Classes start Monday - so there weren't so many people there. I do miss the place a bit, you know. When I walked around the campus and saw the manongs and some of my old teachers... I don't know, things looked much simpler and much easier back in high school. Oh well... life goes on.

Anyway, the yearbook looked good. I mean, I really didn't expect much but hey, this one's way better than our Grade 7 yearbook. This one really looked like a yearbook! Would have liked it a lot if only they got my name right! Grrr. That is just my perpetual frustration... People rarely get my real, my full name right. It always turns out with the wrong spelling. Ugh. I mean, sure I have a really weird name (blame it on my parents!) but hey, I know for a fact I submitted the correct spelling for the write-up... but they still messed up. Hmph.

And yeah... my write-up, well... It seemed great in high school, but now... I just don't like it anymore.

Non-existent Status continues in Existence

The thing with this GUY... I don't know if he's serious or what. I have a feeling he's just playing me but sometimes, I don't know... he sounds serious and sincere. Gawd. I don't know. I mean, do you send lots of practically senseless SMS messages to a girl practically everyday just for fun? Geez. Plus, I don't know if my feelings for him... Oh hell. I just don't know.

School Blahs...

The first two days of school are okay, I guess. I've only met one prof so far - the one from Physics. He seemed okay... fun, spontaneous and yeah, bearable.

God, I sooo hate my classroom in Math. I knew that being assigned to the MB Annex would be bad. It was such a horrible place. Our classroom seemed to the only one functioning... and it's not even functioning well! There were a couple of movable blackboards, a couple of electric fans, lots of vandalisms and the place is unbearably hot and humid. Argh.

My majors... well, they're all going to start next week. My college seems to be full of lazy people... but I'm not complaining. I sure do not want to start on my plates yet...

I've been missing my high school friends quite a lot coz I've been spending a lot of time with my college friends. We're practically all together for the whole day and we're always having ahard time on which place to eat lunch because there are sooo many of us. Hey, we're even dressing up in clothes of the same color! Way too much likeness, I know!

I sure wish this sem would be a good one. I'm taking Math, Physics (lec and lab) and 3 majors... I'm not even sure if I'm going to get a GE and a PE. Seems like the load is heavy enough, even though it is only 18-units.

Weight Issues

I'm never really conscious about my weight for it has never been a negative factor for me. I'm one of those lucky girls who can pig-out and eat all they want and never get fat. I was looking at my full-length mirror this morning in my undies and well, I looked quite skinny. I know for a fact that being 5'2" and weighing 96 pounds, I am absolutely underweight. I've always wanted to gain some weight but it never worked for me. Everytime I eat a lot, I don't get filled up in the right places - I only get that gross bulge on my stomach, which I always try to avoid. Anyway, I don't even know the purpose of this entry... I guess I just wanted to rant about my weight frustrations. Sigh...

* * *

Look at the result I got...

anti-social

Which Personality Disorder Do You Have?
brought to you by Quizilla

Ouch... Anti-social?! Fine.

Something's wrong with my laptop!

Ugh. My beloved laptop, which I am using right now as I type this, had some problem last night while I was online. It logged off by itself and when I checked this morning - I couldn't view any of the "History" files offline. Grrrrr. This is sooo not good.

* * *

19 Days to go... and I am still clueless

What do I do about my 18th birthday, huh? Whaaat? I want it to simple, but fun as well... Kate has been helping me out with ideas, but the problem is... I don't really know what I want. Well... I just want all my friends and my loved ones to celebrate it with me...

* * *

Cavite

Oh right. Went to Cavite yesterday and spent time with my relatives... Twas alright, I guess. It was just too bad I missed all the fun at Lozzie's birthday bash. Oh well... Ugh... I so do not want to go to school tomorrow!

Out of Peyups.com's World View Forum...

How do you wanna die?
- I want to die of old age - happy and contented. Not alone, though.

I like ME because...
- Despite the bitchy tendencies and the nonchalant attitude, I know I have a kind heart and I know when to use it. Also, because I am one helluva person. Nuff said.

Why Do You Believe in God/Gods?
- For the comfort that I can always turn to someone whenever I'm in trouble and the security that someone out there is watching out for me.

When do you feel the loneliest?
- When I failed at something... When despite all the pessimism in me, I still know, I failed.

Why does God permit sufferings?
- So we can cherish our moments of happiness.

Happiest thought
- I'm clueless on this one. Children playing on a big field of sunflowers with a rainbow in the sky comes to mind.

What is a man without a woman?
- Still a man. Maybe a bit hornier than usual. Kidding.

Your REASON for LIVING...
- Life.

If you had a gift or power, what would you like it to be?
- Time traveling or being able to freeze time. I'm one big procrastinator, remember?

What is a woman without a man?
- Still a woman. More focused than usual, though.

Dreams you've given up on...
- I've always wanted to be a parachutist...

Invisible for a day! Ano gagawin nyo?
- Spy on my crushes, my profs and help steal money and food for the poor.

What are the things that can make you cry?
- Sad movies... with kids dying, lovers parting, old people getting forgotten. Sad songs... Sad, sad, sad things.

Religion: a choice or a destiny?
- Jeez. Definitely a choice. Duh.

Are guys naturally inclined to polygamy?
- Believe it or not... I don't think so.

Things you want to do/happen before you die...
- Do one crazy, uncharacteristic deed and tell my loved ones what I feel for them. Oh and help the world become a better place.

What's your latest lie?
- Errr... told someone over YM that I was going offline, but I just logged out.

How much do you care for the environment?
- Very much. I never litter my trash anywhere. I try my best to conserve water... So sad that I care so much, but don't really do much.

Songs That Inspire You...
- Anima Christi, Win by Brian McKnight, Can't Take That Away by Mariah Carey, Pagsubok by Orient Pearl, With A Smile by the E-heads

When Was The Last Time You Were Really Happy?
- Honestly... I have no idea.

If you could ask GOD one question, what would it be?
- Why all this? Why create the world, why create humans, why create life?

How Margaux's Reg Week Came About...

Monday
Pre-Advised at the Arki AVR

Tuesday
Enlisted for a major - Arch 21 at the Arki AVR

Wednesday
Grrr... Tri-Col Day... Accomplished nothing at all.

Thursday
Lined-up early to get enlisted for Math... There weren't any slots available that morning. We were told to check back at 3PM... and so I tried to rush for a GE subject... Too late, F-O session just finished. Went back to Math... They opened a new section... whose timeslot was in-conflict with our Physics. Grrr... The day was a f*cking waste.

Friday
Grrr... Cross-reg, Specials and Non-Degs only in the morning. Ugh. Lined up for Math again, two hours earlier than the said opening... (Actually, medyo sumingit ako...) Finally, they opened a new section, whose timeslot is just perfect! Hallelujiah! Tried to make a run for a GE subject... No more classes with a good timeslot. Decided to hike back to Arki instead. Went through post-advising, clearance and assessment. Will try to prerog for a GE class...

And so... Am still not done with my reg. Still have to pay on Monday.

UP REG SYSTEM SUCKS.

Ayoko nang makakita ng pilaaa!
